Between the Rhône and the Saône rivers, prestigious edifices were raised. Today the peninsula sums up Lyon’s history : the Place des Terreaux glorified by the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty, the opera house by Jean Nouvel, the equestrian statue of the Sun King which protects Place Bellecour.
